Horror Effects of Fast Food on Your Health

Disadvantages of Fast Food: The healthiest meals are the ones we make at home.

But unfortunately today, eating fast food and buying snack has become part of our food habit.

The constant consumption of these foods has many disadvantages for our physical, mental, and even brain health.

Fast food contains preservatives and additives that are not benefit your body in any way.

Here are just a few of the horrors that fast food menu items can do to your body.

1- Impact on memory

One of the destructive effects of fast food consumption has an impact on memory.

This effect is due to the high sugar and fat content of these types of foods.

The consumption of fatty foods and fast-food fats increases insulin production in the pancreas and increases the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes .

If insulin resistance occurs in the body, the ability to store information in the brain decreases and Alzheimer’s disease gradually develops.

Also, the fat in Fast Foods is more than trans fat and saturated fat is unhealthy and does not contain omega-3 fatty acids.

People who are lacking in omega-3 fatty acids are more likely to experience learning disabilities.

2- Inhibits the Ability to Suppress Hunger

High levels of sodium in fast-food feeds have lowers the body, causing similar signs of hunger and forced eating again.

Carbohydrates play an important role in stabilizing the level of glucose in the body, and given that these foods have simple carbohydrates and low fiber.

Blood glucose decreases the ability to control appetite.

3- Contributes to Obesity

When you lose the ability to control your hunger, you’ll most likely end up putting on a few pounds.

Sure, the first five pounds may seem like nothing, and you’ve probably already convinced yourself that jogging for a few weeks or months will put you back in shape. But what happens when this pattern continues without any realization of exercise plans?

Just by looking at the nutritional value of fast food, we can see that we are exposed to a lot of sugar, saturated fats and simple carbohydrates.

And this can be a major cause of increased obesity in the world.

4- Breathing problems

As noted above, weight gain due to fast food consumption increases the risk of asthma and shortness of breath.

As you put on weight, you’ll soon experience a shortness of breath after doing mundane physical activities like climbing stairs or walking distances farther than from your car to your office .

Research has found that children aged 15 years and under who consume fast food at least three times a week are more likely to develop severe breathing conditions such as asthma .

5- Depression

Putting too much sugar and simple carbs in our bodies can toy around with the chemical structure in our brains, possibly resulting in depression.
